JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Americans for Prosperity – Missouri (AFP-MO) has contacted over one million Missouri voters in their effort to defeat Jason Kander for U.S. Senate. An army of AFP-MO volunteers worked the phones and visited homes across the state to inform voters of costly healthcare and energy policies that Kander supports.
Along with efforts on the ground, nearly 700,000 Missouri households will receive a mailer from AFP-MO linking Kander’s energy agenda to President Obama’s, which will increase the cost of energy on a Missouri family of four by $1,870 in 2020.
The mailer reads, “The Kander-Obama Agenda. We pay the price.”
Additionally, AFP-MO has launched a website, www.cantaffordkander.com, that documents Kander’s support for Obamacare and higher taxes while encouraging visitors to take action by voting against Kander this November.
AFP-MO state director, Jeremy Cady, states:
“It is the willingness of AFP-MO volunteers to connect with voters on a personal level – to hear their stories and learn of their struggles – that ensures our message is both effective and influential in the Show-Me state. Contacting over one million voters is a great milestone, but it’s not where we’re stopping. We’ll continue to work around the clock to ensure Jason Kander is stopped from forcing Missouri families to pay more for his costly policies.”
